Plot summary
Ryan Van Hill-Song returns from the first voyage of his career to space, and NASA presents the mission to the world as a success. The agency keeps one part of it out of the announcement: the crew met an alien. Back home, Ryan tries to settle into ordinary life, but something in him is different, and Sadie Van Hill-Song, his wife, sees the change in his behavior and doubts the trip went the way NASA says it did. She also finds out that she is pregnant, and the baby grows faster than usual. When word of the couple's circumstances reaches NASA, agents are sent after them to learn what happened to Ryan.
