Plot summary

Benny and Christopher are freshmen at the University of Akron in Ohio. They meet while playing on opposite sides in a friendly football game, feel an immediate attraction and swap phone numbers. One date leads to another and they become boyfriends. Friends and family, among them Benny's parents Lenora and David, his sister Becca and his best friend Julie, and Christopher's mother Carol, accept the relationship. The pair spend a night out at a nightclub with their friends and stay together. With spring break approaching, they plan a week in Florida at Carol's house. Years earlier, the two families met during a tragic accident, and that shared history puts the new couple under pressure.
