Plot summary

Agatha Christie, the British writer, lived from 1890 to 1976. Her first novel came out in 1920 and introduced Hercule Poirot, an eccentric Belgian private detective. In 1927, a short story brought readers the gentle spinster Miss Jane Marple. The documentary marks a hundred years of the two characters and looks at the place they hold in popular culture. Among those taking part are performers who have played roles in the stories, a screenwriter and novelist, an executive producer of Christie adaptations, an author, a biographer, and the writer's great grandson. Archive footage of Agatha Christie herself appears alongside their accounts.
