Plot summary
Adam and Paul are heroin addicts in Dublin who have known each other since childhood. They wake in a field and make for the city center, passing a hostile dealer named Martin in Ballymun. In St Stephen's Green they come upon old friends who are drinking. Marian and Orla are angry that the pair missed that morning's month's mind for Matthew, the friend they were closest to and Orla's brother. Wayne, Marian's brother, tells them to keep away from Janine. The two wander the city searching for someone, and their hunt for drugs goes nowhere. A rough sleeper mistakes the pair for people on the trail of a troublemaker. A café ejects them over a handbag, and Paul is barred from a shop.
