Plot summary

Roxie Madison is a young girl whose brain tumor cannot be operated on, and the condition is a threat to her life. Her one wish is an unusual one: to meet Bigfoot. Sophie Bracone, a young volunteer, takes on the task of making that wish come true and finds in Roxie a kindred spirit. Derrick Boehm is a classmate from Sophie's graduate classes who was born into privilege and hungers for fame, and his meddling gets in her way. As time grows short and the pressure on her mounts, Sophie has to work with Derrick for Roxie's wish to be granted.
