Plot summary
Released after twelve years for shooting his wife's lover, Ulrik starts over. Jensen, an associate from his criminal past, finds him a room at his sister Karen Margrethe's place and work at Sven's repair shop. Jensen has tracked down Kenny, the brother of the man Ulrik killed, and expects him to settle the score, but Ulrik refuses. He looks up his former wife Wenche and reaches out to Geir, the grown son he has not seen, who passes him off to his pregnant partner Silje as an uncle rather than as his father. At the shop Ulrik grows close to Merete, Sven's daughter, who is divorced from an abusive husband and holds a restraining order against him.
