Plot summary
At the international investment bank Bluestone, the interns arrive from famous schools, some of them from prominent families or recommended by executives. Gao Han, who has neither background, stands out among them. He is assigned as assistant to Todd Cheung, the chief analyst, who thinks little of him at first and comes to trust his mind. Meanwhile Gao Han's classmate and friend Chu Feng has a family business preparing to go public. Bluestone's senior executive Helen Lee invites Gao Han to lunch and asks him to trick Todd into signing off on falsified accounts; hoping for a promotion, he agrees.
