Plot summary
The Chinese Navy patrols the Red Sea, where Somali pirates have seized the cargo ship Guangdong with Chinese passengers and crew aboard. Eight men of the Jiaolong Assault Team go in ahead of the fleet, and their sniper is wounded and must be replaced. Civil war then unsettles Yewaire on the Arabian Peninsula, and the unit is ordered to move Chinese citizens out to the naval vessels waiting in harbor. A Chinese-French journalist in the country learns that the terrorist group Zaka intends to block that cooperation and is gathering yellowcake for a dirty bomb. With little help from a government in turmoil, the team must carry the civilians seventy-five miles overland in a jeep convoy.
