Plot summary
On the road, Alex Clark stops at motels while he photographs ghost towns and cemeteries around the Southwestern United States. He hears two people fighting through the wall of the room beside his, and the pair he meets afterward, Renny and Susie Q, are menacing strangers. He befriends a reckless couple, and his planned road trip becomes a spiral of horror.
