Plot summary
Layla is an aspiring interior designer, and the Christmas wedding on her calendar is one she dreads attending: her cousin is marrying the man Layla herself once planned to wed. Seth is the one who introduced the bride and groom, and when he offers to take her to the celebration as his date, she accepts with little enthusiasm, since she has no other options. At the reception, Seth gets carried away and tells the guests that the two of them are engaged. Layla is mortified, but she plays along, and the pair have to keep up the pretense of being engaged.
