Plot summary
After her clothing business closes, Kristin takes her daughter Emily back to Silver Falls, Ohio, the town where Kristin grew up, and the two of them move into her parents' former house. Kristin is a widow, and the return is an adjustment for mother and daughter alike. It also brings her back into contact with Melissa, a rival from her high school days who now serves as head of the local PTA. Danny, who teaches music at Emily's school, becomes a mentor to the girl, and he was Kristin's classmate years ago, when he kept feelings for her to himself.
