Plot summary
Aurora Teagarden works in a library and has a reputation in her small town for looking into crimes. When her friend Jane dies, the will names Aurora as the one who gets everything. With the estate comes a killing that has gone unsolved in the neighborhood where Aurora lives. Among the things she has to work with are a skull and the question of where the rest of the skeleton went, plus neighbors whose behavior she finds hard to explain. Aurora begins matching the pieces to identify the victim and the person responsible. The case is still open, and the killer could still turn on her.
