Plot summary
In Budapest, David Huxley serves as legal counsel at the American embassy and is about to marry Tish, whose father, Ambassador Harrington, does not approve of the match. Before the wedding, the couple spends a weekend at a hotel and takes part in a threesome with the model Risa. A letter then arrives holding photographs of that encounter along with a demand for money, and the threat of scandal hangs over David's career and over Tish's father. To find whoever holds the pictures and is demanding payment, David and Tish go looking for Risa through Budapest's sex clubs, peep shows and adult film sets.
