Plot summary

Iria, an extraterrestrial bounty hunter, arrives on Earth with Bob, an artificial intelligence, to capture Zeiram, a powerful alien entity. The pair set up a command post in an abandoned building and construct a Zone, a virtual recreation of the town that holds no living residents, where they intend to fight and trap the creature. Because they draw stolen electricity, Kamiya and Teppei, who work for the electric company, come to the base just as Zeiram enters the atmosphere. Kamiya flips a switch and Teppei is transported into the Zone. Iria sends Kamiya and herself in after him and locks him inside a hardened casing, then leaves to destroy the pod that brought Zeiram. Teppei finds Zeiram, which creates a smaller monster and sends it after him, and he runs.
