Plot summary
Sam arrives at Camp Clear Vista as a lead counselor, joined by fellow counselors and friends, among them his ex-girlfriend Imani. A masked murderer begins roaming the campgrounds. Sam hides in a cabin and phones Chuck, a friend who is an enthusiast of horror movies, to explain what is happening and to talk through his choices. On the call he recounts his first day at the camp and the people who came with him. After several bodies are found, the group cannot leave the camp, and Sam stays on the line with Chuck while the killer is still somewhere in the woods.
