Plot summary
In the last days of 1999, Eli and his best friend Danny think about their New Year's Eve plans. Eli wants to kiss Laura, a classmate he likes, and Danny pushes him to make his move at midnight. The pair head to a party hosted by Soccer Chris, where Laura arrives with Trevor, Madison, and Raleigh, and Chris likes Laura as well. Eli sees the two of them kiss, and then the power fails. The electronics around the party come alive and attack the guests. Eli, Danny, and Laura look for a way out while the machines take over the town.
