Plot summary
Three love stories unfold in Athens while an economic collapse and rising immigration spread turmoil across Southern Europe, and each one crosses the line between a Greek and a foreigner from a different generation. Farris, a Syrian refugee, comes to the aid of Daphne, an idealist college student, as fervent nationalism spreads through the city. Giorgos, a sales manager unhappy in his marriage and dependent on pills, begins an affair with Elise, a Scandinavian corporate executive. Maria, a housewife whose family is barely getting by, meets Sebastian, a retired German expatriate who offers her a second chance at love in the aisles of a local supermarket.
