Plot summary
Kit Madden has written the bestselling novel Here is Tomorrow, and she is traveling to Los Angeles while it is adapted for the screen. The actor cast as the pilot hero has left the project, and the producer would rather use an unknown in the part. On the train she meets two Marine pilots, Rusty Thomas and Dink Watson, and thinks Rusty would suit the part. He is dismissive of the book and calls it a political allegory. She and Rusty are drawn to each other. Kit keeps her identity hidden and gives her name as Kitty Kloch.
