Plot summary
Elizabeth works at an animal clinic, and Max, a projectionist, brings in an abused dog. The two of them fall for each other and become a couple. When the subject of marriage comes up, Max declines, and Elizabeth begins to question where the relationship is heading. Talk of marriage weighs on the two of them, and Max grows increasingly jealous, which leaves Elizabeth depressed. Lena, his co-worker, is in love with Max. She takes his romantic trouble as her opening and schemes to have Max for herself.
