Plot summary
Ida barely knows her aunt Bodil or her three cousins Jonas, Mads and David, grown men who all still live in their mother's house. Bodil takes her in, and the brothers treat her as one of their own. A nightclub pays for the household, and Bodil also lends out money on a large scale. Her sons are the people who collect what borrowers owe, with force when it is needed, and Bodil's word decides what they do. Inside the house there is affection; outside it the family lives by crime and violence, and that work soon draws Ida in too.
