Plot summary
Matt Simon has lived in New York for two years and comes back to Chicago with Rebecca, his fiancée. He bumps into Luke, an old friend, before a meeting at a restaurant, where he is preparing for a business trip to China. Inside, Matt believes he hears the voice of Lisa, a dancer he loved, who had vanished overnight two years earlier. He abandons the trip and begins an obsessive search for her. Flashbacks show how Matt and Lisa met and fell in love.
