Plot summary
Few humans know that their world coexists with the Black World, a parallel dimension populated by demons. For centuries a peace treaty has kept the two sides in relative harmony. The Black Guard, an organization of secret agents, protects the boundary from radicalized demons. In Tokyo, Renzaburō Taki works for an electronics company and serves as a Black Guard when he is needed. His assignment is to guard Giuseppe Mayart, a 200-year-old mystic and signatory to the treaty, whom the Radicals want dead. His partner is Makie, a Black Guard from the Black World.
