Whatever Makes You Happy (2010) on Netflix

Plot summary

Adapted from Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, the story looks at dissatisfaction and infidelity among urban twenty somethings. Anna Kemp is a practical, bookish graduate student whose life runs on study, friends, and Kevin, the boyfriend she has had for a long time. Alex Vronsky is a laid back musician who lives a carefree urban hipster life and is happy to coast without working too hard for anything. The two are fundamentally different people and they meet by chance through friends. Neither of them expects the connection that forms. The unlikely pair begin an affair that puts both of their worlds in danger.
