Plot summary
A homicide detective sits across a café table from Jack, a capuchin monkey who talks, and questions him about the death of Max Clegg. The café stands inside a locked down train station, and the interview is filmed in black and white. Dressed in a formal suit and chain-smoking, the detective presses Jack to confess to a crime of passion. A waitress brings coffee to the two of them. Their talk is a battle of wits, built on animal puns and noir one-liners. The detective keeps turning the questions to Jack's personal life, and the monkey's evasive answers show that he will not break easily.
