Plot summary

Carter Melman is a swimming champion at his high school, brash and sexy, and he works hard to hide his drug problems, his history of seizures and a painful relationship with his unsympathetic father, a recovering alcoholic. Danny Wheeler is a shy, closeted and nerdy artist at the same school. Family circumstances bring the two together for a night, and their connection grows away from school hours, drawing Danny out of his shell and awakening his passion for art and his sexuality. Once classes resume, Carter asks Danny to keep their connection quiet around school, though Danny still helps him with his schoolwork.
