Plot summary

Zack is popular and wealthy at the prestigious high school he attends with his step-brother Darren, who is quiet and introverted. Xandrie has a crush on Darren and goes to one of Zack's parties to spend time with him, but does not find him; Zack's friends Karenn and Simone offer her a spiked drink. The next morning Darren finds Xandrie's phone in the basement and cannot locate her at school. Ella, who had been at the party with her before they were separated, does not know where she went. Xandrie returns to school to find false rumors about her disappearance have ruined her reputation, and Karenn warns her that Zack's wealth and standing mean people will believe their account, not hers. Darren wants to learn what happened that night.
