Plot summary
Tommie works in an exhaust workshop in Cologne-Kalk, where the foreman is often angry with him, and he has no money, no apartment of his own and no girlfriend. He keeps his mood up with film fantasies, usually with the sex star Gianna S. in the leading part, and he collects exhaust pipes. Taking a striking specimen from the Mercedes of Jupp lands him in serious trouble, and he has no choice but to bring the exhaust back to Jupp. Jupp's ultimatum is a case of the rare beer Ramsdorfer Kölsch by seven in the evening, and finding one proves insanely difficult. Gianna S. is expected in town at the same time.
