Plot summary
Min, a Korean student, travels to Japan to join his father, a potter, and to step away from the demands of school. At a shrine he meets Nanae Sasaki, a girl who paints. He falls in love with her at first sight. He is told he will attend a Japanese school even though he does not speak the language, and a misunderstanding in the gymnasium sets a possible rival against him. Nanae studies at the same school. The two grow close across the cultural and language divide.
