Plot summary
The move takes Natsume Mochizuki from Tokyo, where she works as a teen model, to Ukigumo, her father's hometown, where she is expected to help her ailing grandfather run his inn. The town offers little of the life she left behind. There she meets Koichiro Hasegawa, called Kou, the successor of a wealthy family that is deeply influential and respected in the area. A romantic interest grows between them, and through him she comes to see a beauty and a desire in herself that she had not known. Natsume is considered beautiful by everyone around her, and the boys and men she meets desire her, which puts her in danger.
