Plot summary
Takeo Goda cuts an imposing figure at his high school, and the boys admire him while the girls do not. Every girl he likes wants his good-looking best friend, Makoto Sunakawa, so Takeo settles for being single. Then he sees a girl from another school being harassed, confronts the man, and she thanks him for it; Takeo falls for her on the spot. She is Rinko Yamato, and she brings him and Sunakawa a cheesecake she baked. Convinced that she must be interested in Sunakawa instead, Takeo sets out to introduce the two of them, training with the karate club in between and watching Rinko turn out more and more elaborate sweets.
