Plot summary
On 22 November 2007, Jiro Kitamura turns 20 and spends the day alone. He buys himself a present in a shopping mall, catches the eye of a girl who smiles at him, and watches her steal clothes without paying. She follows him to the restaurant where he eats spaghetti, sits down and claims the birthday as hers too. They trade presents, then she dashes out without settling the bill and the manager chases them through the streets. Jiro is charmed, but after a few hours she says she has to leave and goes in tears. A year later, on his 21st birthday, he sits alone in the same restaurant when she walks in and a gunman attacks the room. She throws the gunman out of the window and saves Jiro and the other guests.
