Plot summary
Jack Ketchum is driving when his car breaks down, and the thunderstorm that strands him leaves him lost in the woods. He comes on a remote shack and asks for shelter from the rain. Lyle Yates, the mountain man who lives there, holds the visitor at gunpoint. Willie, Lyle's young wife, is in the cabin with him. The storm rages on, and the three of them stay shut inside the small space while the tension between them grows. Jack falls for Willie, and he tries to persuade her to escape with him.
