Plot summary
Henry Hearst is a wealthy tax attorney in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where the city is celebrating the San Sebastián Festival. He is due to speak at an exclusive fundraising party. Police call him in to be questioned about the body he found the day before, a young girl who was raped and killed. Captain Victor Benezet and Detective Felix Owens ask him about the gaps in his account. Hearst's much younger wife, Chantal, is at the party. Benezet's superior wants Hearst released in time for his speech.
