Plot summary
Bruno has to escort eight children, Juri among them, to Sicily, where a summer school awaits them. The other chaperone falls ill at the last minute, leaving Bruno alone in charge. The parents, worried about how lively the children are, want to cancel. Claudio, Bruno's father, is a doctor, and he calms them down and offers to come too. Bruno has doubts, knowing how reckless his father can be. After the goodbyes, the two men get distracted and the train, with the children aboard, pulls out.
