Plot summary
Eve Spalding is new in town, and her sweet sixteen sleepover is waiting on a phone call from her father. Her guests are Sarah, a shy Catholic girl; Cicely, the student council president, and Nina; Liza, who keeps a rat in her bag; and Chapin, who was expelled from Sacred Heart. Bored with the party, Chapin proposes Triple Dog. Everyone puts her money and a favorite possession in the pot, takes one dare and gives another, and whoever fails shaves her head. The whole night is recorded, and the best dare wins the pot. Sarah is sent streaking around the block. On the Jogger Bridge, Eve's soccer team touches the railing in Stacy's memory, and Chapin refuses to say why Sacred Heart expelled her.
