Plot summary
Six people are pulled from wherever they were and set down at a cabin far from anything else. A barrier they cannot see encloses the place, and it will not let them walk out. None of the six can say how they arrived or why. A short distance away lies a graveyard, and there they come across an old stone monument covered in carvings. The group takes to calling it a totem pole. Something in the area is at work on them: a malevolent presence able to take hold of their bodies and push them into acts they would not choose, and the six find themselves caught in a murderous plan that is not their own.
