Plot summary
Hopper is an archaeology professor whose graduate students, Taylor and Jackie, are told their research is finished. He has gone missing in a remote part of Texas, having set out to trace hippies who vanished there in the 1970s. When he does not return after several days, Taylor and Jackie set out to find him. Cara comes along with her sister Veeves and their friend Furby. His trail leads them to a campsite beside a cave, where ropes at the entrance lead inside. Furby remains at the surface camp as backup while the others go down. Odd noises reach them, and Furby stops answering their radio calls. When Jackie attempts the climb back out, the rope frays and she falls, leaving both her and Taylor hurt.
