Plot summary
Thor is an over confident young blacksmith who lives with his mother in a small village. The neighbors hold to the legend that Odin, King of the Gods, is his father, and so they believe the Giants will never trouble them. The legend fails. A Giant army overruns the village and carries the people off to Hel, who rules the underworld. Thor is knocked out in the attack and wakes to find himself left behind, with the village emptied. He takes up the hammer Crusher, which claims to be a magical weapon, and sets out after the Giants to bring his friends home.
