Plot summary
In a distant realm, Jerzy Colsowicz has a vision of a destructive storm coming from a young girl on Earth, and hears of the long cosmic conflict between Zatteen, a malevolent force with great psychic power, and his benevolent rival Yahweh. Zatteen's spirit lives on in human minds, waiting to reemerge, and his descendants populate the planet. In Atlanta, Raymond Armstead, the new owner of a basketball team, belongs to a Satanist circle that wants Zatteen to rise again. His associate Dr. Walker says Barbara Collins, Raymond's girlfriend, can serve as a conduit, since her eight-year-old daughter Katy has shown psychokinetic ability. The circle means for Raymond to father a son with Barbara. Colsowicz is sent to Earth with disciples of the Christ-like figure and watches Katy from a distance.
