Plot summary
A physics congress brings Johannes Leinert and his doctoral supervisor to the Alps in 1962. Mysterious incidents take place there. An Iranian guest is among those present, and a strange cloud formation hangs in the sky. Johannes meets Karin Hönig, a French-speaking jazz pianist who seems to know a great deal about him. Deaths at the mountain site follow, and the two of them set out to uncover the secrets hidden below.
