Plot summary
In 1992, two teenage sisters go missing in a remote part of the former East Germany. Patrick Stein and Markus Bach, police officers who are very different from one another, are given the case. At the start it is not known whether the girls ran away from home or whether something worse has happened to them. The town they went missing from is small, and the people there are guarded about what they know.
