Plot summary
Baroness Lilian von Brabant receives an invitation to Blood Castle, in Sander Valley, where a fortune awaits her. Her lawyer, Roger Mont Elise, sees a chance to learn more about his birth. They travel in separate carriages and meet the monk Fabian, who offers to guide them to the castle. Fabian tells them that thirty-five years earlier Count Regula murdered twelve maidens and used their blood in a bid for immortality. He came up one maiden short of the number he needed, and for his crimes he was drawn, quartered and beheaded; as he died he swore revenge on those who had condemned him. On the road, hooded riders attack the travelers.

- In Rhode Island and other U.S. states, newspapers deleted the word 'Blood' from film advertisements and substituted another word: Blood Demon became Crimson Demon, Mad Doctor from Blood Island became Mad Doctor from Crimson Island, and Blood of Dracula's Castle became Red of Dracula's Castle. Roger Corman's Bloody Mama was the only exception.
