Plot summary

Ah Chi cannot leave the martial arts alone, and his show-off moves keep landing him in trouble. When he steps in to defend his neighbors from a violent thug, he learns the man works as an enforcer for Hsia, the boss of the Jade Brotherhood. Hsia answers by making Chi's master dismiss him. Masterless, Chi takes a job with a fish vendor and meets a clever kid whose uncle, Chow Tung, is an Insane Mantis master. The old man refuses to teach him, so Chi copies what he can in secret. The Jade Brotherhood wants the small town under its control, and Chi refuses to let bullies run his neighborhood.
