Sang Kuan Chun has spent his life in martial arts, and a plaque sent by the Emperor names him the world champion of kung fu. He is not certain the title is his to hold. Then a note arrives claiming that he is not the best, and the old master takes his three students on a journey to face the seven grandmasters, one from each province, and settle the question. On the road the group is joined by Siu Ying, a young man whose father was killed and who hopes the master will take him as a student so he can take revenge.
