Plot summary
Mia Hu, Gavin and Luis are students who set out to record a documentary about Deborah Logan, a woman with Alzheimer's disease. Deborah lives with Sarah, her daughter and caregiver, and the crew films their household and the routines of her illness. As the weeks of filming pass, Deborah's behavior becomes more bizarre, and her personal physician describes it as typical of an aggressive form of the disease. Luis, the cameraman, notes that some of what he captures resists an ordinary explanation. In one recording Deborah talks about sacrifices and snakes in French, and tension in the household rises.
