Plot summary
Sonny Paluso runs a gas station in New York, and a man named Donald Quinelle accidentally blows it up. Donald, a dental supply executive, has just been fired from his job. The two strangers meet again by chance in a coffee shop, where a man in a ski mask comes in and holds the place up. Donald is shot, and Sonny gets a clear look at the robber's face. The two men stop the robbery. A television news crew interviews Donald, and in the interview he says enough to make Sonny's identity known. Sonny lives with his teenage daughter, Candice.
