Meg Mundy

Meg Mundy, born in England and raised in the United States, was a model and actress. In 1940 Harry Conover named her one of the ten top models. She made her concert debut at Carnegie Hall in 1942. On stage, she won a 1948 Theatre World Award for The Respectful Prostitute and appeared on Broadway in Detective Story. On television she appeared in Alfred Hitchcock Presents and played the role of Mona Aldrich Croft on The Doctors, first from 1972 to 1973 and again from 1975 to 1982, earning a Daytime Emmy nomination. She later appeared on Loving, Guiding Light, and All My Children and on Law and Order. Her film roles included Eyes of Laura Mars (1978), Oliver's Story (1978), Ordinary People (1980), in which she played the mother of Mary Tyler Moore's character and which won the Academy Award for Best Picture, The Survivors (1983), Fatal Attraction (1987), and Someone to Watch Over Me (1987).
