Plot summary
Harry Mitchell, a widower, shares a home in Sydney with Jeff, his son, who is in his twenties. Both men are single and both are looking for love: Harry for a woman, Jeff, who is gay, for a man. Harry has no difficulty with his son's sexuality and supports his search for a boyfriend with notable enthusiasm. Through a dating service Harry meets an attractive divorcee who is quick to judge, and her opinions bring conflict between Harry and Jeff. Both men also speak straight to the camera about their lives, a device taken from the play.
