Plot summary
Luke is a young man with autism, and his grandparents have sheltered him. The world beyond their home expects nothing of him. Grandpa Jonas, Uncle Paul and Cousin Brad are among the family in his life. Luke decides he wants a job and a girlfriend, and he asks for what he wants and is not put off by a refusal.

- The film was inspired by director Alonso Mayo's experiences at Centro Ann Sullivan del Perú, where he helped produce training videos for creating supported employment programs and met many men and women with autism and other developmental disabilities. He returned there on a research trip while writing the screenplay.
