Plot summary
Mr. Taschenbier is a shy man with an ordered life in a small town. His bad-tempered landlady, Mrs. Rotkohl, and his nasty neighbor, Mr. Lürcher, give him trouble. One Saturday a creature with a trunk-like nose enters his life and adopts him as its daddy. The Slurb is cheeky and chaotic, and it throws Taschenbier's routine into disorder. Taschenbier discovers that the Slurb's blue freckles can fulfill all his wishes. He appeases his landlady and gets the better of his neighbor.
